The Board and Staff of the Partnership

The Partnership is run by the members of the Board, who are all volunteers. They have given their time to support the aims of the Partnership as they believe it is important to the future development of Penistone & District.
The members of the Board are:
Jane Greetham (Chair), John Wade (Vice-Chair),  Joe Unsworth (Secretary), Val Brewer (Treasurer) Maureen Harrison, Les Herbert, Martin Bancroft, Gina Hawkins, Andrew Millner, Father David Hopkin, Bob Blythe and Julie Beech.
They can all be contacted via the Partnership Offices.

JULIE BEECH is our regular volunteer who staffs the Visitor Information Service at St Johns Church in Penistone which is open every Thursday morning from 10 - 12.30 and on Saturdays when the Farmers Market is on. She is also based at Silkstone Church every Wednesday morning between 10 and 12.
THE STAFF:

SUE WILSON is the Partnership Administration and Finance Coordination Officer. The main part of her job is to keep everyone on track within their budgets and organise the smooth running of the office.
SAM MANSELL is the Project Delivery Officer. She gives advice to groups on the best sources of funding available, and will help throughout the lifetime of the project in terms of support, development and delivery, if required.
JOHN HISLOP was appointed as the Living Heritage Project Officer in September, a part-time role. He will be working closely with schools, local heritage groups and churches in the area. Part of his work will also be to encourage people to take an interest in their heritage, perhaps for the first time.

LESLEY ADDISON is the Project Delivery Support Worker. She helps Nick in his work, and is also involved with the production of publicity and marketing for the Partnership and any associated projects or groups.
STEVE GOULD is the Co-ordinator for LEADER+, a rural development programme which is being delivered by the Partnership. LEADER+ is responsible for the distribution of European grants, and often supports specific projects within the area by matching external funding. The focus of LEADER+ programme in Penistone & District is on the following themes:
building skills within the community, rural services, rural heritage and support for small businesses.
BRIAN TURNER joined the Partnership in Spring 2007 as the Cycle Hire Scheme Officer, working in conjunction with Lee Thompson to offer cycle hire in the middle of Penistone. Formerly a University Lecturer, he can now combine his hobby of cycling with his occupation. For more details of the Cycle Hire Scheme, follow the link below to open the leaflet.
