An Explorer's Guide to Penistone & District
The Explorer's Guide to Penistone & District was published in March 2006 and has been very popular ever since. The illustrations were commissioned from Gill Tyler, a local artist. Since publication, over 10,000 copies have already been distributed through tourist information services, including Sheffield, Barnsley and into the Peak District. Individual copies have been sent as far as Australia and the book has been widely acclaimed.
It is hoped that at some time in the future, funding will be found to reprint the guide. Even better, John is hoping that he will be able to update it.
